As the name suggests, the TATA LPT 407 EX2 CNG is the CNG version of the popular ‘407’ series. It is available in two versions, including CAB and HD. It comes with a box body setup and a day cabin is placed on the top of the chassis. It has a decent GVW of 7.25 tonnes.
It is powered by a 3.8-litre SGI Spark Ignition, and liquid-cooled naturally-aspirated engine, which is capable of providing a maximum power of 83 bhp and the peak torque is 270 Nm. The maximum power comes at 2,500 rpm, and the peak torque arrives at a range of 1200-1500 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a five-speed manual transmission that is aided by a 280 mm single plate dry friction type clutch.
