The Tata LPT 909 EX is a half body truck with a day cabin built on the chassis. It has an axle configuration of 4×2 and a ground clearance of 217 mm. However, one of the highlighting facts about the truck is that it has a humongous fuel tank capacity of 430 litres. The gross vehicle weight is around 10,550 kilograms.
The truck is suspended over semi-elliptical leaf spring units for the front as well as the rear, while the braking is handled by air brakes where the one for parking is optional. However, unlike most others, it has fog lamps too.
